Above the old port and facing Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, the former Hôtel-Dieu is one of the most emblematic buildings in Marseille. The mineral character of the city and that of the building with its Cassis stone facade, as well as the view of the Mediterranean sea, served as inspiration for its interior design.
