The philosophy and his practice of traditional martial arts leads him to experiment with balance and imbalance, displacement, fluidity and density, all while seeking a mastery of gesture and expression. His photographic work is defined by a particular attention to movement and brings us into a poetic universe where reality and abstraction meet.
Jean-Pierre Porcher, author and photographer born in 1956, lives and works between Paris and London. Trained as an architect and urban planner, he worked for 20 years as a project manager on major architectural and development projects. In 2000, he decided to devote himself entirely to photography. In constant evolution, his photographic work evolves to lead him in aesthetic and artistic research.
