Martha Winter began her art training in her native city of London, and later studied fine art in Falmouth and Norwich. Her work, although sculptural, is primarily mural. It is the unusual result of many influences: from a sculptor's conventional desire to interact with their materials to the objective observation of how these materials physically exist in the space. The artist's fascination with geometry and geology results in quiet contemporary pieces whose elemental composition resonates in our subconscious.
