He has infused this discipline with a unique and new style that is instantly recognizable. Seductive and endearing, his work has traveled the world, releasing his marble and bronze bestiary to the four corners of the globe. Trained in Leleu's studio at the Rouen School of Fine Arts, Michel Bassompierre learned to look. He created kilos of sketches through which he built his understanding of the animal's body, this skillfully articulated machine whose line and movement he captured.
