Pascal Oudet

SCULPTURE SUR BOIS
Pascal Oudet, an artistic wood turner based near Grenoble, is inspired by the effects of time's wear and tear, which reveal the deep structure of natural materials. Using carefully selected oak, he creates exquisitely refined shapes, then reveals their structure through sandblasting. This technique, which he invented, has attracted the interest of collectors and galleries worldwide. His pieces are featured in the permanent collections of Ateliers d'Art de France, the American Association of Woodturners, and the New York Museum of Art and Design, as well as in private collections in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

SAVOIR FAIRE          |

Using carefully selected oaks, Pascal creates extremely fine shapes, the structure of which he then reveals through sandblasting. In a constant balance between aggressiveness to wear down the material and delicacy to preserve its integrity, he goes as far as transparency to create a veritable lacework of wood. His creations, combining technical mastery and delicacy, immerse us in the history of trees in a subtle interplay of material and light.
