Initially a cabinetmaker, Maxime Perrolle maintains a close relationship with wood. Unrolling the shavings, discovering the growth rings, smelling the aromas revealing themselves, is like reading the imprint that time leaves on the tree. Since 2016, he has been interested in artistic woodturning and since 2019 in sculpture. Passionate about trees, the serenity of these motionless giants intrigues and inspires him, having the value of testimony for him. His creations are part of a contemporary approach that respects the traditional values ​​of the craft by playing on the effects of textures, curves and a search for hues through fire or natural pigments.
