Tommy Clarke a grandi sur la côte sud de l'Angleterre où enfant, il passa presque toutes ses vacances à la plage. Ce n'est qu'en vivant à Sydney qu'il réalisa sa première prise de vue aérienne, au-dessus de la plage de Bondi. Capturant des planches de surf colorées qui jonchaient la plage, elles sont devenues sa première série — Shore. Depuis, de San Francisco au Mexique en passant par les îles Canaries, il prend place à bord d'hélicoptères et de petits avions pour photographier d'en haut le monde coloré d'en bas. Lorsqu'il n'est pas en voyage, Tommy travaille dans son studio à Londres.Tommy Clarke grew up on the south coast of England, where as a child he spent almost all his holidays at the beach. It was only when living in Sydney that he took his first aerial shot, above Bondi Beach. Capturing colourful surfboards strewn across the sand, that image became the first in his series — Shore. Since then, from San Francisco to Mexico and the Canary Islands, he has boarded helicopters and small aircraft to photograph the colourful world below from above. When not travelling, Tommy works in his studio in London.
