Marie Pierre Bel est née dans une famille d'artistes et d'artisans. A l'école Boulle, elle se forme d'abord à la monture en bronze, puis à la ciselure qu'elle perfectionne par la suite à l'atelier de M. Guénot, dans le Marais. En 1996, elle devient élève dans l'atelier de Bernard Werner, Maître d'art, où elle se perfectionne et acquiert la maîtrise de la technique de la tournure sur bronze. Créant par la suite sa propre activité, elle réalise des modèles de fonte et des prototypes pour des architectes et des concepteurs comme Philippe Parent et Nicolas Aubagnac. Sous son nom d'artiste, Mapie BelGary, elle se consacre aujourd'hui entièrement à la création de ses propres pièces, inspirées par l'Homme et par la Nature.Marie Pierre Bel was born into a family of artists and artisans. At the École Boulle she trained first in bronze mounting, then in chasing, which she later perfected in the Marais atelier of M. Guénot. In 1996 she became a student of Bernard Werner, Maître d'art, where she refined her skills and mastered the art of bronze turning. She then launched her own practice, producing casting models and prototypes for architects and designers such as Philippe Parent and Nicolas Aubagnac. Under her artist name Mapie BelGary, she now devotes herself entirely to creating her own pieces, inspired by humanity and nature.
